HOW TO SUPPORT TAMBOULA?

In December of 2010, we havel achieved a significant milestone by celebrating our 10th anniversary. While we had many opportunities throughout the years to bring Haitian music, dance, history, and culture to the Chicagoland area and surroundings, we are at a most vital stage of our development and are currently raising our profile on the national and international arts scene by becoming a touring company in the next five years.

TEDCO has enriched lives by being an important cultural ambassador of Haitian Culture. With your support, we can continue to grow into a solid entity focused on positively representing the Haitian dance community in Chicago, the US and aboard. 

TEDCO’s mission has remained focused on two main objectives; preserve and promote Haitian dance heritage, and establish cultural exchanges among all ethnic groups, through education and the celebration of Haiti’s culture.  Your contribution provides the funding needed to finance operating costs and will assist in our efforts to continue our focus and expand as we look forward to the following initiatives in 2011: 

1- Two yearly performances

2- Annual Afro-Haitian dance conference

3- Dance classes on the north and south side of Chicago

4- Develop a youth dance component

5- Develop a cultural and historical education curriculum about Haitian culture

6- Continue to offer summer job to teens in the chicago area in partnership with After School Matters

You can become a supporter of TEDCO by making an annual donation of $50. You will be an active supporter of one of the leading cultural institutions in the city, providing the finest in what Haiti has to offer.
