Children of the Rainforest: Tamboula Haitian Dance & Drumming
Performances at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm
Tickets available at the door: $3 ages 13 & up $2 children 12 and under Free for ages 2 and under Come out of the cold and into the tropics with the Tamboula at Olbrich Botanical GardensChildren of the Rainforest series at Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Chicago-based group Tamboula will feature dancers, drummers, and singers from Haiti, Africa, the Caribbean, and the U.S. with traditional Haitian dances including Kombit, a harvesting dance. The Children of the Rainforest series offers performances for families to celebrate cultural differences in rainforest regions around the world and is made possible by a gift from William Wartmann.
